Punjab skill development mission

The Punjab Skill Development Mission (PSDM) is an initiative by the Government of Punjab that aims to provide skill training and employment opportunities to the youth of the state. It was launched in 2014 to bridge the gap between the skills of job seekers and the needs of industries.

Under this mission, young people are trained in various fields such as IT, healthcare, retail, construction, electronics, beauty, and more. The training is provided free of cost and is often linked to job placements or support for starting one’s own business.

The mission focuses on reaching out to school dropouts, women, people from rural and border areas, and those who are unemployed, helping them build a better future through practical skills.

PSDM also collaborates with private companies, training centers, and educational institutions to offer high-quality training. It organizes job fairs (Rozgar Melas) and career counseling sessions to help trained candidates find suitable work.

In short, the Punjab Skill Development Mission is playing a key role in empowering the youth of Punjab by making them skilled, confident, and ready for the job market.
